ABOUT NEA
NEA is a drummer, singer, producer, and songwriter originally from Stockholm, now based in Sydney. Her musical journey began at a young age, tapping pencils on cookie jars to express her creativity. Recognising her talent, her parents gifted her a drum set when she was five years old, and she hasn’t stopped playing since. Growing up, NEA spent hours jamming in the basement at home with her father, guitarist Thomas Forslund. She performed at her first festival in 2014 with her tribute band Nea Goes TOTO. That same year, she participated in Sweden’s Got Talent and was invited to perform with the legendary Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth in Copenhagen (2014) and Sala (2016). In 2017, NEA was hired as a drummer for one of the finalists on Sweden’s Got Talent, marking her second appearance on the show. Between 2018 and 2021, NEA attended the Academy of Music and Business in Vara, Sweden, where she further developed her passion for producing and songwriting. In 2021, she appeared on the Swedish entertainment program Vem Kan Vad, earned a cultural scholarship for her artistry, and was sponsored by Istanbul Agop Cymbals. In 2022, she released the fusion/rock project Mixture and Hot Ice. To further expand her career internationally, NEA moved to Sydney, where she continues to thrive. She performed at IDP’s Talent Show in Melbourne and has been seen behind the drum kit for the finalists on Australian Idol. Her debut EP "Traveller" features six tracks that blend pop melodies with rock-inspired drumming, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey.
